I agree with Clive, JRSC's are easier to install and tune. Boost upgrades
can go to 8 - 10 psi without intercooling, although water injection allows
extra safety margin. Turbo kits are producing 250 plus rwhp at 15 psi in US
but this requires serious fuel and ignition mamagement techniques to be
reliable. However they don't seem to need upgraded engine internals, except
for the new 1.8's that seem to go POP with alarming regularity.
It's the old story, speed costs money - how fast can you afford to go?
