What a quiet list today! Is everyone top down and out for a drive??
It is pouring with rain here in Taranaki, pretty windy and too much
reminding of Winter already and top up weather, feeling guilty or not!
CUTEMX - sitting in the car port with her top up :-(

been bloody awful in Auckland too, had to drive with the top up for
breakfast :(

Been able to do some work on my future sound system though instead.
Building an MP3 player out of an old laptop and other bits and pieces, a
couple of amps and stuff. Unfortunately won't have much space left in the
boot when finished.

That's telling 'em Gretchen. Have to admit tho' I left the top up coming back from Manapouri this morning out of deference to my passenger and rather strong winds. Marvelous drive tho' - as always round the Southern Scenic Route. Hope the tax gatherers never remember that road!!

Hey!! Have you been checked out as suitable for our select area? I suppose as an MX5'er you may be half way to acceptance!

Hey Hey
Didn't someone say STOP!! - think that was me, you are making us far too
jealous!
The rain has stopped now so after this kind of talk - may just go out top
down just for the sake of it!

Just been out for the weekly top down "Oh dear, I accidentally forgot to
buy the packet of chippies when we did the weekly shopping" quick trip into
Upper Hutt and back (only 8 kms each way, but some nice bends near home).
Rained hard last night, showers this morning, been in the garden all
afternoon, the last few hours in the sun. A bit windy though. Not a very
good top down summer was it? Perhaps we'll have a nice top down winter to
make up for it.

Melanie and I are hoping to head up to Bay of Islands the week before
Easter, with a boot full of camping equipment for our first MX5 camping
trip. Bet it pours all week!

Let's not go there Chrissy...other than to say how depressing
that people have nothing better to do on their Satur-day to spend it
emailing on the Mx5list...:)

Hmmm, a boot full of camping equipment doesn't sound too promising, unless
the spare tyre's been moved of course; you could probably fit a 2 man tent
in then!

Ahh... that would explain why Karl, currently touring the deep south
in his MX-5 had to stay a few extra days in Invercargill... because he
couldn't be bothered sight-seeing in the rain earlier this week...
and the fact that the Fish-n-Chip trip to Jacksons Bay was also a wet
affair the weekend before, wouldn't it?

See, we've got an Aucklander spying on you, and you've just been
"sprung" trying to boost your region's reputation with big fat juicy
lies!

Mwah-hah-har (evil spy laugh!)

Poor Karl.. Had to invite him to meet us to get a decent cup of coffee! Pity he felt constrained to bring his weather with him!

Actually in the M2 we can fit a 3-man tent, two camp beds, 2 sleeping bags,
single burner cooker and pots, cups, plates, clothes for a week, food and a
camera, without removing the spare wheel (which is under the boot floor).
Not bad huh?

beside the battery for shampoo bottles and sunscreen

Poor little car had to drag that lot around over Xmas and New year,
Didn't use a lot of stuff so the next camping trip will a little lighter.
I forgot to add the 2 x folding chairs to the list.

Oh and of course the Boot rack was a great help!
lol

I looked at bootracks... but the kayaks, lifejackets, paddles, bbq, table, chairs and sun umbrella fit better on the
trailer.

Well is there much more room in a mk 2 then?
I have trouble fitting a fornights groceries in my CUTEMX, either my family
eats too much or I need to re-look at my boot space!
