The Holden Viscous unit could be a different type but supposedly shimming helps(Putting shims in to load/preload the pack and make it tighter?) I dont know much about it.

He probably does, but having sent him 4 emails on the subject in the past 6 months with no reply I've just given up trying to deal with him.

I have emailed him about three times, had one response which was months later. I feel he is hugely over priced

I second this I even drove down there to sort some parts but he made no effort at all! The parts are gold coated too. Your normal person would say hello to the money, I just don't understand it when people are willing to spent money with you business...... but then make no effort.

There's an excellent article about it (for a Nissan R200 viscous LSD) on SilviaNZ here, but requires logging in/registering to view.

Got a mate who can probably suss that for me if its possible. Thought it only worked on mechanical ones.

did a 'foamectomy' on my drivers seat as well as a few other bits and bobs in preparation for a track day at Taupo tomorrow....has made the seat a bit more supportive, still not amazing but we'll see.
