NB NA Soft Top

Post by Donovan » Wed Apr 18, 2012 7:35 pm

Trying to find out whether anyone out there has put a NB soft top into a NA.

I have an absolute mint soft top with a glass window from the NB that I am pulling apart and starting to consider putting a soft top back into my car (not that it has ever had one since I owned it), if nothing else just to put some weight on the rear axle to help maybe try and offset some of the weight getting added up front.

Anyway, have had a poke around the internet and can't find anything that says it can or can't be done. The only thing I did find was a site that said that only the fabric could be used and put on a NA frame (which I don't have), but this is also a site that said the NB dash can't be put into a NA, so don't have a whole heap of faith in it.

So anyone know either way.

Fine as long as you use the entire unit

NB top on NA

Post by Toolbox » Wed Apr 18, 2012 8:51 pm

Yes I did it about 6 months ago, I put on a NB top with a glass window onto my NA, using the NB frame is alot easier if you use a NA frame you have to use some extra straps at the rear, the same as the NB frames have.
