When i sell something I always get their phone number. Then if they dont turn up you can ring them.... Hopefully for them not in the small hours of the morning  if they dont want to give you their number then they arent genuine to start with

The guys at Cs Garage organised a Drift day and I was lucky enough to go along and have some fun. One of the D1 drivers managed to convince his other half into lending him her stock Purple Roadster(Viscous diff and lowering springs) which he was just driving it unbelievably!

I have to stop wall scraping though as I did another tail light, and I need to fix one of the Enkeis again haha

Had rain at the start of the day and then it dried out so was great fun.

Got a good little video and even chased Joels car but I might need an extra few HP to keep up and more lock...

Also found my SSR MKIs dont fit now that I have fitted new brake pads -.- So will need some slip on spacers for them now

Figure'd I'd share my build thread update... :)

To be honest I felt like I've neglected the girl a bit much recently... Too much cat washing. Decided I would try and get the long block finished up so I can pull the old tired bitch in there out sooner. Had a quick look at the injectors and they were a bit discoloured and dirty. Gave them a good clean up and polished the metal with my dremel. Unfortunately no before pics today boys.

While I was at it I thought, you know what. This thing is gunna look dam purty with it all painted properly... so why not give the fuel rail some colour. Same colour as my valve cover...

Image

Slapped her all together. Barely have anything to actually do anymore really... 1 engine mount cover, the block and head need painting, alternator and a few brackets. Then I simply need about 5 gaskets, some gasket poo and a hose kit which I can get cheap. Here's the painted stuff all hiding from the cat.

The Love & Passion are showing up in your pics. You have obviously done some 'extra' hours detailing. Good on ya. Will all be worth it. You will want to lift the bonnet so much that you will probably need a transparent acrylic one.

Thanks guys. I'd love to have the megasquirt in before the engine swap happens to do away with the intake but unfortunately just not enough money.. COP and ms3 byo to come early in the new year I hope. Want the engine running properly then will deal with all the brakes and tyres etc. Lastly will come the turbo.

Plan is to pull engine, clean, paint aubframe and bay. Wire tuck and reinstall

Brave doing a full ms build! I looked at it but I'm going the DIYPNP way I think.

Bits look excellent! Too many gravel roads around my neck of the woods for any type of show car look like that. Oh and I'm too lazy.

It's actually been very easy. A lot of brakleen, a toothbrush and paint haha. The hardest part will be reassembly of the long block. The ms won't be too scary imo, and I have a backup if I get lost.

All going well the undertray will stop most of the crap flicking up onto the engine. Want to get a tig or mig so I can deal with basic fab work myself.

Friend convinced me to go on a Paul Walker memorial cruise to Hamilton
A bunch of us stop at Autobahn BP just passed Papakura
We start to leave and surprise surprise 20-30 cops behind BP and all modified cars are queued up for checks
BS my way out of Licence restrictions and modifications
All in all only told to get an alignment (-2.5 degrees approx)
No pink/green although close, many other cars weren't so fortunate.

:D Successful night even though we never made it to Hamilton.

If it is a publicly advertised cruise, unfortunately they usually don't end well. I drank to Paul Walker, unfortunately going for a F&F style mayhem cruise aint my thing :P

That vette driver took some lines that were... interesting. Has he never heard of a late apex?

I'd give my left nut to drive the ring.

yeah, normally circuit videos bore me about 1/2 way through but that was one of the few that I watched all the way through.

on another note, I had a productive day and put new pads and rotors on the front. I replaced my poxy silverline brake pads (why oh why was I stupid enough to cheap out on brakepads) with some Remsa pads. I have to say, I am quite impressed with the pads, once they are worn in, I fell they will be ideal for my daily driving usage. Most importantly, I no longer have brake squeal which although only occasionally occuring, still drove me nuts.

Work is selling an mx5 trade in. They seem to be pretty flexible on price, it was only obtained to secure a sale.

Can call at work and ask for me if you have any questions or wanted to look at it.
