What is the best way to hang the hard top
Hi there, we have just purchased another MX 5 but this time with a hard top. Am interested in finding the best and/or possibly easiest way to hang the hard top. How are people hanging their hard tops.
Thanks

In the back of the MX5 club magazine they used to advertise a simple harness
system that one person could operate, I am no longer a club member so I
can't be sure they still advertise them. I've had a look and found an issue
form 2005, It's called a Hard Top Hoist and is $145 from Rex Findlay,
09-5201-1410 or 0274-935-279 not sure if he still makes them. Good luck.

saw on ebay a hardtop bag with two d/rings on the top of the bag to hang on the wall, any canvas worker/ saddler could make one if given the measurements. Sometimes I am reminded we are on an island when i see what is available overseas.

some people buy a set of the actual Mazda frankenstein bolts (see http://www.mx5forum.co.nz/viewtopic.php?t=8448) and mount these on a piece of timber on the wall with the correct spacing. The hard top hangs on these. Mine just hangs on a couple of S hooks which are in turn hooked over some decent ceiling mounted hooks up against a wall.
