Blue park light legality

Post by Hojo » Tue Dec 22, 2009 1:44 pm

Is anyone familiar with the laws around having different coloured park lights?

I have seen a few courier vans around with blue LEDs replacing the small T10 park light bulbs in thier vans and I would like to do a similar thing with my NA but I'm not quite sure how legal it is... If anyone has some advice it would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

EDIT: I have discovered that any front facing lamp must be substantially white or amber.

No, no and no

I watched a guy on police stop getting stopped for the third time for blue
lights on his dash facing forward. And at $200 a time that's a nice $600
thank you.

I don't think blue ios a good idea either, there is a trailer that uses a
blue LED park light (illegal) and when you drive towards it the blue light
looks a long way away but is close. Something to do with the effect of the
light wavelenght of blue LED's perhaps.
