LVV Certification

Post by poison » Tue Oct 28, 2008 7:35 pm

I need to get a new Vehicle Certification as I am installing height adjustable shocks. When it got certed for the turbo in Christchurch it cost $320, now I'm looking for a place in Auckland and I got a quote of $450  which is pretty ridiculous.

Can anyone suggest a place that may be more reasonable?

Hi Gazza

I got mine at Fraser Cars in Beachhaven.
The last one cost about $300 at the beginning of 2007.

Andy at RaceFX in Henderson does certs as well.
Not too sure on pricing though.

before you take it for certification make sure you set the height as low as is legal or that you can get away with, as the cert plate will show what height it was cert'd at plus or minus 5 %. you can always go higher but if you lower it below the -5% then technically its illegal again.

LVV Certification

That’s where I got mine done. I had adjustable shocks, lowered springs, braided brake hoses, style bar, turbo etc all certified at the same time.

Never had a problem at the testing station since.

Cheers
Mike.
