New back window??

Post by Richard and Robyn Glass » Sun Sep 03, 2006 7:35 pm

:) We were in the top carpark up at Turoa skifield....and decided to take the top down.
OKOK... I know, we didnt unzip it......just put it down.....carefully,, we thought,,,, but....... yupp....... put a dirty big split in the plastic.

In Auckland,,,, where is the best... cheapest?.. etc.. place to get it replaced. Anyone ever tried to get it done on the Insurance glass cover?? (worth a try maybe)...
And can the plastic window with the two quarters be put in instead???

Wonderful stuff,, duct tape.... but not a good long term look. Any advice is appreciated.....

Thanks....... R. & R. :D

Hi R & R

For a cheap and easy repair, have the window cut out and a new one stitched in.

I had my one done last year and its great.

Contact Paul Bryant, I have attatched a link to the mx5 club web site, You will find his details on the committee members contact page.

Cheers

Al's Upholstery on the North Shore and a discount for club members - we had a glass window fitted a couple of years ago, highly recommended!
