Yes please - that would be great. I'll do some ringing around tomorrow & see what I can dig up as well. Usual suspects - Supercheap, Repco, John Andrew ...

An update FYI -

It pays 1) to ring around & 2) know what you're after.

I was quoted prices ranging from $70 (Appco), $58 plus GST (Autostop) & $51 plus GST (Partmaster). Note that they don't always tell you if it's a full kit with the spark plug aperture seals too - the Autostop version didn't & you had to buy the head refurb kit to get them :?

Anyway - ended up ordering in an ACL Gasket Co. item (part no. JN752) at Supercheap for $43 incl GST & freight. Next day delivery. Hardest bit was finding out which part number applied to the 1.6l NA - that was a bit of a mission believe it or not.

The weekend will reveal if it does the business or not - no reason why it shouldn't.

Greg

Hmmm.... I've never seen an MX-5 cam-cover gasket that didnt have the spark-plug apeture holes built into it....

I suspect you would have ended up with the right thing from them, even if their computer didnt list it as included?

Hi, Fletch

I suspect that you're correct, though the guy on the phone seemed pretty convinced on the point. Price blew them out of contention anyway.

Slydit - nope - no camshaft angle sensor seal. It does have the semi-circular shape to accomodate the sensor shaft (obviously) but that's it.
