Momo or aftermarket steering wheel

Post by Ian » Sun Jun 25, 2006 1:57 pm

Hi...

Am considering an aftermarket Momo or similar steering wheel? Anyone fitted one recently. Would be interested to know which model/size anyone has used (my standard Nardi is 360mm)

Cheers

My NA has a Momo Corse which is 350mm dia.
It's a nice chunky wheel and looks great.

My NA also has a Momo Corse (350mm).
Turner is similer design but slightly different grip.

My ther car has Momo Race 350mm.
It is good too, but I think Corse is better on MX5.

I'd advise caution when installing a smaller steering wheel - you may find it hard to see 100 on the speedo, and some wheels may not disengage your indicators properly - in my case I'm also unable to see the indicator lights on the dashboard unless I lean forward....... :(

and love it!

Pro's - nice turn in, feels good, makes more room for getting in/out and moving around, looks sporty :D

Con's - Cannot see 100 (I go by revs), or indicators.

Would I recommend it - 100% yes
