Where to get a wooden gear knob?

Post by jax » Mon Jun 19, 2006 7:52 pm

Hi Guys,
My MX5 is a BRG w Nardi Steering wheel and hand brake- in colour 744. The gear knob is wooden MOMO but not in matching colour-in colour 7759

See http://www.flotaire.com/wood%20grain.jpg

May I know where's abt in Auckland shall I try to find a wooden gear knob? Already been to MX5Mart but there isnt one for me.
Will be happy to swap as well.
Any advise will be appreciated and I will drive around to check it out, thanks! :)

Regards,
Jackson

Momo gear knob swap:-

I believe the steering wheel, hand brake and gear knob never were of
matching wood. However they should be similar, especially if all Nardi for
example.
If you can't locate a replacement, try your local woodworkers guild. A
member will probably be able to make you one in any wood you wish.
Both my cars (92 NA and 98 NB) have Nardi wood steering wheel and handbrake
handle. They are not matching wood in each car but they are similar colours.
Both are auto, so no gear knob.
Grant.
