I have a tidy RED NA. It needs repainting.
Has anybody done this lately?
I got a rough estimate last week of $4000 plus GST. Engine in repaint.
Not sure if that is a reasonable price.
Can anybody recommend a car painter?
Do you leave soft top attached during the repaint process?
I live in Akl.
This is a car I intend to keep for a long period of time.

Sounds pretty close for a decent job. Speak to Cole at Bodyworks, not sure how often he frequents the forum.

Repaint
Sweet.
I have heard of other people doing it for less, like $2500!
However, I have not seen the cars, maybe a low quality job!
I guess, good things are not cheap and cheap things are not good.

Reprinting NA
Yeah. Sweet
My soft top is worn anyway. I was going to remove that.
Doors, left on?
Front bumper, on/off?

Timmo your right if you want paint job that won't last as long, paint can bridge the nooks and cranny's and crack with body movement . I personally remove every thing that bolts on because that way you get a lot less over spray and no dry edges, but that's me it really comes down to which way you want it done and the painter to sort out .
