It's been a while, ( been in the states for a while ) but finally hooked in over Xmas and sorted the Holden IRS for the NA. Even passed wof at testing station yesterday.
Biggest problem I had which some of you will already know is the shock clearance on the axles.
Because I used the Holden joints at both ends I had to make new lower control arms so I could get full travel. Also had to reposition the lower shock mount to get away from the cv joint.
Anthony from suspension specialists in Auckland was a great help in sorting new shocks and some tapered springs. Out of a corolla I believe.
Car now sits a wee bit higher at both ends, I think it looks spot on, the gearing is heaps better, speedo is now accurate again and the car travels nice with 2 people in it and no noise from cv joints hitting shocks.
Have done the odd skid , no drama. All up cost was $250 for complete diff and $1650 for 4 new bilsteins and 2 new coil springs.
Next on the list is some electrical tidying up, new mags and tyres and a paint job.
Back to the states to pay for it !!!!

If you go back to jan 3rd 2014 on the forum page there's a few pics of the motor.
Just in regards to the diff, I ended up finding a solution for not having to touch the A-arms, or move the position of the shocks or anything like that.
Originally the shocks were touch and rubbing against the CV joints and destroyed them in about 200km, and that was after the muppets that put the rear end in thought it was a good idea to space out the bolt holes at the bottom of the A-Arms and shove a washer in there to try and space them back. They didn't even bother to tack the washer in there, so everytime I removed the rear shocks I spent about an hour trying to fildder around putting the washer and the shock back in.
A visit to Terry at ADL, and got myself some performance VW/Porsche hard capped CV's, so that the rubber boot is inside a metal cap, and only about a 1/4 of the length of the normal CV's, and these all matched up to the Holden bolt pattern.
Bit late for you now, but for anyone else thinking about being silly enough to stick a Holden IRS rear end in their car.

Picture of the new CV boot, sorry, no time to clean under there before the pic, but you get the idea. Have done about 20,000km on that setup and no issues so far

Bugga !! Good to know now. It does however make installing the Holden unit very straightforward.
Might grab another sub frame when I get back and knock up another one for sale.

Sorry for any confusion Donovan but what I meant was your set up is way easier than what I ended up doing. Wish Id known about those cv joints.
