Soft tops....
Was wondering, would a soft top from a 1999 NB fit on to a 1989 NA?

Apparently, yes. Never done it, so no idea how much work is involved, however.
You might want to take a look here: http://www.miata.net/garage/compatibility.html
EDIT: Here's the write up on how to drop the entire thing on (frame included), also courtesy of miata.net's garage: http://www.cienega32.com/miata/nb2na/nb ... xplant.htm

Yes it does fit done it a few times, because the rear window is glass and you are fitting it to a NA model which had a plastic rear window you will need to fit
a control strap kit so the rear glass window works when you lower the hood. The best way is to fit the NB frame too.

I didn't make a mistake. I gave you a observation test and you JUST passed.
