Polishing Hazy Softtop Window

Post by GRUVBB » Fri Nov 14, 2014 8:48 am

I know this has been discussed before but having trouble finding previous posts...... I wish to polish the haziness from my softtop window. What is the best polishing compound that anyone has used SUCCESSFULLY please??? Cheers in advance. Maybe this could then get put into the How To section in the roof section for future reference.

Hmm these are the best I could find

viewtopic.php?t=4656&sid=d9d72b8885d42d ... 4bdce4fad5

That one says either replace it or "Both Mothers and Meguirs do a good polish for clear plastic that both seem to
work really well. They are available from places like Repco and SuperCheap
Autos. They are worth a try before going to the expense of replacing it."

Review on Meguiars polish:

Another post that says that Meguiars stuff

And this one reckons Mothers or toothpaste

So I purchased this a bottle of Meguiars PlatX today from REPCO. $20 with the wkend discount. Done 1 quick application to both inside and out. Made a huge improvement, does not require a lot of product. Money well spent. Thanks for the replies and comments.
