ive recently installed a haarts soft top and leaving it to stretch at the moment the problem i have atm is it wont fold down at the first joint closest to the front of the car something is stopping it for some reason it seems if i had to stretch it back it would just rip it? any info on why this is would help thanks.

Undo everything at the back
Carefully pull the old shit out
Get the roof into as many bits as possible
Drill out rivets
Reverse the above steps to put the new one on.

Two students, a socket set, and unlimited stupidity know no bounds.

I think I had similar situation before...

Check your stainless retainer for rubber weather seal, It may be not quite in right position or you may have swapped front/middle or left right?

or make sure the tension wire is threaded the side correctly so not jammed.
