Drag Racing 24th August!

Alright so there is an event on the 24th August, in a couple weeks, at the Meremere dragstrip and I was wondering if you fellow Mx5 forum members would want to attend!

The cost is $15 to enter the gates and $30 to race so $45 all up if you are racing!

I will be going and it would be great to see other mx5's there after last weekends failed attempt at a cruise. It would also be possible to win prizes even in a stock mx5 as long as you run consistently!

I hope to see a few of you there!

Run what ya brung! Remember these events are for Street Legal vehicles only so your vehicle needs to be WOFd and REGO’d. You must have a helmet and a minimumRestricted License for a car driver. For Motorbikes, if you have a Learner or Restricted license then your bike must be on the LAMS-approved motorbikes list (). Ensure your battery is securely fastened/tied down and if you have a rotary vehicle that you have a scatter blanket / shield. Lastly, you can run street tyres or D.O.T approved street legal drag tyres only but any other race slick is strictly prohibited.

Gates Open 10am - RACE ENTRY opens 1030am
Racing Starts 11am
Cost Gate Entry $15 - Children 12 and under FREE Race Entry - $30

Going to be entering mine into this, should be interesting to see what it can run. Won't be doing full power launches though as I'll destroy my clutch.
