Okay, so did some more weight reduction last night removing the front bumper support, and cleaned up a bit of surface rust.

I have videos that need to be uploaded! I had people timing me from the upper level of the pits :)

My issue with traction was cause by my front drivers tire. Down to the canvas!

Front is Goodyear Assurances, rears Pirelli P6000's. Fronts worn down a fair bit and the rears weren't the best anyway due to hardened compound.

Yay for more footage.

Going to attack the rear diffuser this weekend, I have a few ideas, it's going to look ridiculously aggressive, but should be functional.

It needs to withstand 100kg of downforce, this car should be a grippy mother fucker once I'm done with it!

Bilstein Circlip shocks with 7/5 kg springs will be the goer for the next track day, alongside some 15 x 7 (I think) wrapped in 205/50 Achilles 123

Ended up knocking another 8 kg out of the door, still need to get the hole saw out to get even more weight out!

Just picked up a pair of hayabusa mufflers! I will post some pictures of them tonight.

I have DKM fabrication doing the work to fit them, they will probably be fitted some time in the next two weeks.

No real updates. But thought I might bump the thread to keep my motivation going!

Trimmed back a lot of the wiring from the dash, it is now well out of view, and foots way which is good!

Going to be mocking up a ducktail for it tonight.. Maybe... or tomorrow.. or the weekend..

Picking up some new wheels on the weekend, scored a set of bilsteins, new rubber going on next week, Just bits and pieces that need doing now. Track day on the 3rd of August, so I'm working to another deadline >.<

Seeing as your mainly doing Pukekohe and the car is quite underpowered I'd avoid doing any mods that increase drag if I were you. You aren't going fast enough to necessitate adding downforce and will most likely end up going slower.

What tyres have you got for this time round?

Ah much better rubber, you should go pretty well with them. Just note that your top speed may decrease slightly as grippier tyres are harder to spin.
You at least bringing a foot pump this time?

Also speaking to 2low2c, if you still have the roof in you will be best to run with it up as it will help your straight line speed

Yup - will be running with the roof up this time.

195/50, so shouldn't be too much extra friction :)

Wasn't talking about width, a stickier tyre will be harder to move than a hard compound road tyre

Purchased one off corded bowl, realized it was on the wrong side, so I sold it off to someone on CR.net.

Ended up mocking up a new one (for trolol) where the intake was on that side >.<

No "real" updates.

But I figured I should bump it as a bit has happened.

I have picked up some bilsteins, that will be getting sent to Autolign and sorted out with a 5/7kg spring

I have finally removed the dash bar, seat, harness, and primered the interior ready for it's final coat of paint (getting high off paint fumes yo!)

I purchased some New (to me) wheels, off of skilful, some nice rays, that have been painted up with a purple lip and black centre, they will be wrapped in some 195/50/15 Achilles 123 next week.

In regards to Jazz.. I received a few txts from people asking me to wind him up further, from what I understand of him, he is not someone you want to screw with, not because he is scary, but because of the people that he associates with. Remember, everything is possible with a bit of money..

Bear that in mind!

Won't make this track day unfortunately due to budget restrictions, however I will be down there with my old man and his (girly) Porsche Boxster :)
