V Spec Mx5's
Can anyone tell me what is actually 'special' about the V spec mx5's, everyone i have talked to has conflicting opinions?
Just purchased a 1993 V Spec one with the NA8C engine (i think) and just wanted some information on it!
Thanks(:

it would also have a few 'extras' like power steering, electric windows & Air conditioning from what I gather.

The auto gearbox was an optional extra (my car was originally owned by a retired gentleman, so I understand his choice of auto even if its not the choice I would have made)
Basically from what I gather, there was a V spec for each year (and quite a few S spec which are a step below the V spec) and if you have one, then it will have the premium bits on it (shocks, diff etc).
I am not a fan of the leather tan interior, but that's just my personal preference

All Japanese Mk1 Eunos's and MK 2/2.5 Roadsters were offered with a auto option whatever spec or version, the UK did not get them until the Mk 2.5 came to play, The 1.8 Auto box is not too bad, the Mk1 1.6 was very revy noisey and jerky, the MK 2 and Mk 2.5 version were more refined and had better gearing, they are a good cruiser for those that use them a lot as a everyday car on motorways, and it also opens the roadster up for those that have a passion for these little gems that would otherwise not be able to if they were all manual versions.
In the 25 years i have been doing this, it makes no difference to me which owner owns what as long as they have the passion.
They all put a smile on my face whatever personal stamp the owner gives them.
