Due to a lack of tonneau cover, one of my soft tops has a uv faded portion on the inside. I want to recolour it black and thought that Dylon Cloth Dye might be suitable..... Has anyone been down this avenue before and able to offer advice or recommendations?

Thanks SLYDIT.... I just googled that and found this. Will try and source some local, and document its success. A spray application sounds easier than mixing a solution and wiping it on. Cheers

Motospecs, Pioneer Autoparts are the distributors in NZ. They list outlets to purchase from on their website..... REPCO, Partmaster etc. will try REPCO tomorrow for price and availability.

Purchased a can today from local Repco..... $13.70 incl after my discount. Waiting for fine weather befor attempting as i dont have a shed to keep rain off the roof. Will take befor and after shots and post up once done. Thanks for the pointer SLYDIT. Hopefully will be a cheap enhancer.

Product has dried. Ultra pleased with outcome. This is soft top in Lowered position, befor and after.
Good investment in my opinion. Retail price is about $20 if you dont get a mean discount.

looks great!
i hadnt used the dye, but i had used the satin vinyl paint with good results on my 1300GT escort.
i'm thinking about dyeing my seats by using "rit dye" which is supposed to be great stuff. you can even dye plastic with it...

Purchased another can of VHT Vinyl Dye and did my other Roadster. This stuff works a treat..... Well worth the purchase price..... Highly recommended to all.
