Just been told about this interesting site for those wanting to get an idea of where your car sits compared to others.

Strange. The calculator doesn't work for me.

Have you seen this http://www.lightweightmiata.com/beast/lightness/ ... it has a list of rough weights (in pounds) of parts removed from the car.

Not many things on there that I'd want to do to a daily driver, maybe remove the A/C because it seems to do little but get in the way of maintenance tasks on my car.

Isn't BHP at the wheels horsepower, rather than the flywheel.

If I use the calculator using my at the wheel rating, I get the same list as you WOT.

If I do the flywheel rating (as it says on the site), well, it's a slightly different matter, and I guess about right, as I have dusted an ML65 and an M5 in a straight line easily (well, wheels still still smoking it up)

The Calculator asks for flywheel HP so that's what I have put in the box...I suppose wheel hp would be better as some cars lose more than others through the drive-line!
And most car manufacturers rate it at the flywheel as it is higher than the hub and better for marketing purposes.
