Yeah, I kind of wish there were more of these - much as I like drift days, it's nice to see some timed competition rather than just letting people out for skidz and burning rubber :P

Next one is May, this last one was real close and competitive. There was 0.6 seconds between first and second.

Are these done in the dry or do they wet the pad?

I've been meaning to try this for a while, learn some proper car control, it would be nice to actually be as good a driver as I think I am in my head...
Plus last time I watched it I laughed so hard at the wannadrift guys, out there having a great time getting the course wrong, spinning out etc.

Sunday May 19th, bring it on.
Must remember to bring ear plugs, that squealing of tyres on the skid pan really gets to you after a while, or maybe I'm just getting old...
I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Its good fun and definately not about power, the Subaru Rex proved that.

I got a little bit of video.

Gymkhana courses way too short for power to be any sort of an advantage, especially in RWD form, and thank god they didn't turn the water on, otherwise would have been going no where fast.

But still, getting beaten by a 1.6, oh the shame of it all.

The gymkhana's are fun, can't see much of a point for the drift days, guess I just like structure.

I hope they run a wider variety of courses this year -- a new courses each event or session would be good.

[[fffuuuu was going to post course map but can't due to being a new user]]
