Just caught up with my mum who complains about my car every time she sees it and she thought the new number plate mount was pretty awesome when it flicked down and made the plate disappear. Thanks to sprsta for installing that for me.

About to clean up the garage, working on the car today made me realise

A. Im a messy mofo, and
B. Dirty garages make life hard

So with that in mind, everyone likes pictures.

My soft top has seen better days, its rough as guts, but didnt leak. I decided to put it into storage, in the garden shed as I've obviously got a hard top now. Will also make rollbar fab alot easier once that part of the build starts.

And also finally fitted my valve cover, unfortunately no matter HOW much I try, I cannot get a photo of it's actual colour.

Before/After:

Next week I'll pull out my foglights and start the wire tuck. Also got plans to make some side brackets for my hard top (To remove latches, increasing security) and a registration plate relocation bracket.

Wow those 8's in the front really jack it up huh!
You may have solved your nose dive issue...
Ive heard of a guy that used a MX for rallying & it did pretty well or just throw some fat tyres on her and take it off roading!

You sure you don't have the fronts and rears backwards?

There is no front/rear this is a custom setup. I still have a few things to do.

Dont worry it wont stay like this for long. Just a slight error on my part.

Ah. You told them how long you wanted the spring to be? You'll be bouncing around quite a bit. Make sure you fasten all the loose stuff in the car lol

8Kg front 6Kg back. Havent put the backs in yet but the front is surprisingly nice, with the right valving you dont get bounce.

Are the springs just too long? The front may come down a little when you put the rears in as it'll bring the c.o.g forward

Agreed with the bouncing and high spring rates. Don't get any bounce on 7/5 and its firm and not harsh.

Since people are still awake... I can't for the life of me remove the central NA mirror. It's bolted up to the windscreen frame but I can't get the cover off to access the bolts. Is there some secret or do I just need to apply some rage towards it? Ideally I don't want to break something that isn't broken

Reason I ask is miata.net is down and they have answers for all my basic needs

Dont worry the RS Aizawa car runs that, the ratio is a bit more towards oversteer.

Yeah that cover holds on for dear life! I thought I was gunna break mine when I removed it, careful what you use as it would be easy to scratch or dent it with to narrow a lever.
