No, I clicked my speedo over 180kph and for some reason I would get a rev cut at 5.5k
5500rpm is probably what you'd be doing in 5th at 180k's so the ecu would have decided to cut it there
That is what my thoughts were too.
Was fucking awesome though.

I did a test paint on one rim and it turned out reasonably nice (but I suck at taking photo's) I did the X in black then did the borders with a cherry red and gave the red a dusting with black afterwards....

Rims look much funkier than previously. Email me if you want a price for new shiny cap screws to set them off once colour decision made.

thank you for the offer but I have the caps as well, I have polished them silver and as tend to be a bad habit of mine, am undecided as to whether to paint them or leave them silver.

Does anyone know if Recaro SR3s or Recaro Millenniums will fit in an NA MX-5 without too much hassle?

I put a set of on older ones in mine without too much hassle, just needed to make some adapterplates to attach the MX rails. Mine are the ones with narrower shoulders though. I did a slight foamectomy on the seat base to lower it and give more side leg support.
Not a race seat but heaps better support/comfort than the OEM one, and it sails through warrants.

I'm pretty sure SR3s shouldn't be a problem but worth measuring the shoulder width of them anyway to be safe. Apparently maximum ideal shoulder width is something like 535mm, depending of course on how high up the shoulders flare out.
As far as flying through WoFs go, as long as the seats are of a known and reputable brand, the individual seat parts aren't attached to each other by welding and it mounts to the chassis at the standard bolting points it should fly through WoFs regardless of reclinable, fixed etc.

Dude - you're doing amazing with the power you have.
Those wall taps are frightening.
And I'm on the other side.

Loving the wall taps, I do not have the balls to ever try that.
On an unrelated note, anyone know where to get braided clutch lines from? I've ordered a master & slave clutch cylinder from Broomfish for my MX5 and thought I might do that at the same time.
Its only the slave cylinder from the sounds of it thats poked, but I thought I may as well replace all of it if its cheap enough.

I've got a braided clutch line sitting next to me that you can borrow and take to a hose shop like GSS to get some made up?

Hey yeah I'm keen on that if you don't mind? Broomfish aren't able to source one for me understandably.

Yea no worries.
To answer your post on FaceTube, the line is advertised to fit for 1990-1994 (ordered from Good Win Racing last year, just haven't bothered to put it in until I do a clutch change).
Know any other hose shops? I only know GSS. Not sure how much they charge for custom jobs.

They look good mate!!! All that capscrew polishing has paid off. They look better with a tyre imposed around them and the colour contrast of panels and trim works a treat.... Good effort.
What colour are you doing the wheel nuts in???

I am using red protruding wheel nuts made of duralumin (a hardened alloy) so they will look pretty swish
in regards to polishing, I would like to recommend this stuff:
its a new product that Bunnings sells for $10 .... it did a great job and is 1/4 the retail price of other steel polishing compounds
