Cobra's on Bilstein circlip adjustable. Theyre the lowest I can get them on the rears without the spring perch hitting the axle. Im 90mm from ground on the front, 100mm on rear. All revalved to suit springs

What spring rates are the Cobras?

Would have to get back to you. Have a friend at autolign and I just said "I drive it twice a week, and will be hitting the track/gymkhana/autocross. Make it handle like my civic" and he did :P

Well if you're competing then I guess I'll pass
My car will most likely be more of a disadvantage on a gymkhana and autocross course, as in low speeds if I aren't very careful with the right boot, all I end up doing is creating a lot of smoke and noise. When I am up and rolling at over 100kph, well that is a completely different story.

Must be a member of a MSNZ affiliated club, but you don't have to have a comp license.

Regs aren't up on the website yet.
That's good, my clubsport license is still valid, and I am still a member of the TVCC

Why would you want an mx5 to handle like a civic? :?

Building it for grip and track use. I enjoy going fast, not sideways as much...

Not "a" civic, this civic. Loved racing Honda cup, regret selling the car. Wanted another easy platform to work on, mainly mechanical with less issues. And this thing handles like a dream at the moment, definately handles differently, but grips great and can throw it through the corners without issues.

Thanks Donovan, wise idea.

Thread has been split, please keep this one on topic and to further discuss go to the Suspension area! :)

If there is a few going I might come along too.
I had organised a seperate class just for MX5's at the Auckland Car Club quite a few years ago but not many people turned up. I could look at it again this year if people are keen?

Would they let you intentionally drift the course at one of these events?

Not really, some interesting people in the public have complained before so we had to tone it down as running in that space is a privilege.

Diff and suspension arm bushings. Pretended to help, but Cole did the install. They're a 10/10 product for making the red and black theme continue underneath the car ;) also put in new rotors, new pads and new 4pot calipers on the front to go with the teins. In terms ofiinstallation, the bushings were a mission but I didn't do any work so it wasn't that hard for me...

How it all feels? Will find out tomorrow when I drive home.
