yeah 15's will be top of the list. was only looking at those 16x7's because it's a crazy good price for forged rims (those are in the same ballpark weightwise as TE37's as far as i can tell)MrGrey wrote:if you do end up looking elsewhere, have you considered 15" rims? because 16" inch tyres are oddly expensive compared to 14's, 15's & 17's

Great price for the milage. Even if the car needs work I'd say it's worth checking out. If I didn't just buy an NA I might be calling, lol.
Cheers,
-Matt

i do not need to spend more money.
Not an auction but still: http://www.flyinmiata.com/groupbuy/index.php
$30 off FM butterfly brace = ~$285NZD.
Wonder if there were enough NZ people keen if we could get a good deal on shipping a bunch together together. Or maybe get them sent on a container from the US like a NZ parts places offer...

Hmm, never seen this colour '5 before and usually I'd just say it's been resprayed....but then all the factory spec stickers seem to be in place? (i.e. in the door jam, under the bonnet etc?)

it is factory painted it is what they call a test colour ,they normaly paint about 10 cars to see what the intrest is in it and if it is high enough they put it into production. problem with these cars is that the paint code is usually something like xxxx so getting the colour wright is a pain .they are JDM only

I guess it's like the coupes/other variations that came through in very small numbers? The more I look at the coupe, the more they grow on me2low2c wrote:it is factory painted it is what they call a test colour ,they normaly paint about 10 cars to see what the intrest is in it and if it is high enough they put it into production. problem with these cars is that the paint code is usually something like xxxx so getting the colour wright is a pain .they are JDM only

This isn't necessarily any of the specified finds, but I thought it was seriously cool.
Hand built dress up bits, made to last, for NA's and NB's. All very retro and the attention to detail is stunning.

I think it's fucking cool.

Its all good mate, it's just another cool mod you could consider later on down the track for your roadster.
It will be a fair way off before I look at doing this as I still have something else to pay for first and then I still have a few other bits I need to acquire first but I am now looking at getting a lot of upgrade bits and doing it all in one big hit due to certification requirements.
For the price rev limiter charges, his custom gauge faces seem like a reasonably priced deal.
