Nice! You've done the rear bumper cut. I'm thinking about it but my car isn't low enough to pull it off. And you need a shiny exhaust to compliment it.

-5 up front and +0 at back,

Either going +10 in the rear or a slight pull....

Oh nice, spacers I assume?

I'm running +0 at the rear with a slight pull, like a cm or 2 at max and I get no rub at all. Looks a bit mexi though cause I havent lowered the front and Im on 195 50s :(

Rear bumper cut outs look awesome. I'm keen to do one but I think I'll try on a second bumper before I have a hack at mine.

Ah cool stuff!
Looks fine, I think.
I'm running the same.. some cheap brand starting with A..
Going for the same size in falkens for cert time..

Yeah, I need to go for a slight pull.. it's stopped rubbing now, so I guess its rubbed the tyre away or pulled it a bit.

looks good man,
More pictures?
The rear panel confuses me!

Wow your sidewalls look far smaller than my ones haha, I'm on bridgestone MY01's which are okay. Will have to cert up eventually though.

The rear panel is just a trap replica, some sheet metal and some bog and I was away laughing, still needs a bit of work as you can see the line where the hole used to be.

Being in Queenstown have you tried A1 Radiator's alloy race radiators they make for the MX5? They regularly post an ad for it on trade me. At the very least they are easier to get a hold of either by phone or email than Dodsons.

mjrstar- Can you explain the reasoning behind angling your blowoff valve piping that way? Wouldn't it be better to angle against the normal airflow to avoid breaking laminar flow as much as possible? On boost the air is going to want to go up the blow off valve pipe and off boost/throttle butterfly closed it's going to tend to not want to go up that way...which seems backwards to me?

I'm open do discussion on this, hey some people even mount the BOV's up against the turbo (with reasonable results). and some of that borg warner stuff comes with intergrated BOV's

short answer:
The thought was that the best way to vent is in the same direction the the source of flow comes from. you are trying to maintain compressor outlet flow direction (minimal flow reversion)

Not so short answer:

The void in behind the take off for the bov is tiny in relation to the flow rate of the turbo so not concerned about the time taken to equalise pressure in there , I'm not sure how turbulent that area will get as it build boost pressure.

not so short answer continued...

But like most under bonnet stuff it really just comes to packaging, i couldn't afford the room on the inner side of the pipe as that's where the top coolant hose will go, and i wanted to reduce the hanging weight that would be evident it if were poked on at 90 degrees.. Plus I think it looks fairly tidy in it's current position..

put it at the throttle plate. that way you keep the volume of air flowing through the intercooler and pipes. if you put it at the turbo, the air in the pipes and intercooler still stalls and has to restart again...
