I had just refreshed the oil 2-3 weeks prior so I doubt that was it.

Sorry - I am now in Wanaka, Amazing day boarding, picked up the Silvia yesterday in Invercargill and drove to Queenstown, unfortunately the weather in Queens was rubbish! But today in Wanaka was amazing!

1/2 a tank and I have done 350 km. Not too bad I don't think.

Tomorrow, off to Gremouth!

Went to Hampton to do some gymkhana, also picked up my other bootlid to make a ducktail and a Roadster boot does fit in a Roadster.

Yeah, next time I'll take it to a place not run by muppets. Don't think they lowered the pressure after setting the bead. Should have noticed something after they recommended to fit triangles.

Atleast I found the source of its tail happiness in the wet

Similar to what I use except I go 28 all round otherwise I find the rear gets loose in the wet. Might try 30 during summer

I usually run 36PSI all round. Right now Im running 40 all round on my Trampios just because I want to adjust the tyres when they are cold.

Wouldnt have thought 205/50-15's required heaps of pressure. Might bring it back up if i get a torsen and want to have some fun

its not uncommon for 35 to 45 profile tyres to run 40psi, i had a toyota soarer that i had to run 52psi in due to my fitment. just depends on the use really. i run 40 in 17s generally and 36 in my 15s, but i am young and like using the loud pedal while cornering
In which i trust, a cable ties a must

Not Running 165's to get the 'stretched look' on 15x7's are you? Seems a step backward... Considering standard is 185 wide....

He has an NB, so I think factory tyre widths may even be 195 or 205?

You're one of these types that skid around residential streets are you? Youd only run these pressures on track? What do you use for street running?

Nah its a 165 on a 6" not going for a stretch look its about weight its actually a perfect fit just the right amount of width and really really light plus they are really grippy

Yea pretty cool thing to do.

http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/crime/4 ... voids-jail

Perhaps I need to adopt the mindset of these drivers to help me stop giving a damn? Lets see...

Ahh well, what do I care. Im a good driver, its worth the risk, and anyway, I dont have children so it wont happen to me...

There, that was easy!

Edit: Sorry should point out this has nothing specifically to do with responsible drivers that chose slightly higher tyre pressures, just those DBs that chose to slide on residential streets. My apologies to Dori if they are the former type!

Well yesterday and today have been both productive and EXTREMELY frustrating.

Yesterday started with driving to Autolign to pick up these bad boys. Front and rear circlip adjustable Bilsteins with Cobra springs. Have been revalved too :)

I took to installing the rears expecting a 1hr job per corner. After about 4 hours I called Shane in dire need of help. I couldn't get the shock in with the circlip on the middle groove and couldnt understand why. Eventually worked it out :( The spring perch was hitting the axle... Raised it up just to get them in as I was running out of time. Will look into a different rear spring combo (Or compress them) and machine grooves higher up the shock to get around it.

I was running out of time so decided to attack the fronts today... More problems :(

I couldnt even undo the bolt on the bottom of the front shocks... Took to it with a powerbar and trolley jack handle and the mother wouldn't budge so gave up on that for today as well. Am going to have to borrow a rattle gun..

After all of this frustration I felt I needed to do something to relax, like pulling shit apart.

The first victim was my charcoal canister. Took about 20 mins to get rid of it, easy as pie :)

Then cleaned the engine bay, just a quick going over, hadn't done it since I bought her.

Before - with charcoal canister

After - without canister

Then pulled my wiper blades, they were looking horrible, so took to them with my dremel and gave them a quick lick of paint.

At this point, my day became amazing. I was wondering why so many people had Momo wheels and I had this shitty JDM Eunos momo wheel. A mate of popped over to lend his spring compressors and gave me a tip....

It was the best surprise when I saw that Momo underneath :D

The front shocks were a little hard but the back only took about an hour and a half for both, stock perch height was fine but any lower(I had one cut 10mm down) hits the driveshaft.
