Have you seen my camera mount? Works great, I think your main issue is the weight of the camera.

Nope haven't seen your setup, I want to use my dslr as my other cameras crap at filming at night.

Too many points it can swivel from. Try and get one that locks firmly and is designed to hold approx 3kg. 1 swivel point if possible

I bought the mount for the cruise on sunday. I'll have a play around with the positioning of the mount and see if i can get it any better.

Ideally i would have got a rollbar mount but im missing 1 key necessity for that :lol:

Yeah, it's nice I can get away with doing so and still end up with forged, lightweight wheels! And despite the offsets being 55 and 65 front and rear respectively they still fill out the guards well enough for my tastes.

Remedied this issue today by picking myself up Born_disturbed's old rollbar :D

Im still well keen on a tidy NC with power HT. Mmmm maybe my new year resolution?

I was certainly considering an NC when I was looking for my NA's replacement. I'm not going to go into comparisons with what I ended up with, as I spent far more than I would have on an NC, but certainly with some of the prices people are asking on Trade Me I'd rather get an S2000 for comparable money locally, or as Furai says, import one for far less!

Those NCs are balla, but I dunno. Those S2ks are also a pretty epic piece of kit.

Got Ducktail fitted and then spent the next hour with a bowl of Cheesecake, Mudcake and Ice cream admiring.

There's a manual one (non hardtop for like 15k) on there somewhere.

Would prefer an NZ new one to be honest though. Imports are sketchy.

Hey all, kinda new to the forum. Long time listener, first time caller type thing.

Changed diff fluid yesterday on my 91 NA6 =]
Started spraying CRC on to the bottom shock bolts in prep of replacing the shocks with some HSD coilovers.

Hardest bit to remove I found was the long bolts for the upper wishbone, I'd definitely give them a good pre-soaking!

Didn't think I'd need to remove the upper wishbone? Thought I could get away with just unbolting the swaybar link and levering the whole lower wishbone down.

Do need to get some spring compressors for this I think

You'd need a lot of leverage to remove the front shocks like that. Easiest method is to remove the long bolts as long as you have a big enough socket or spanner

Nah thats way hard, I can swap mine out super fast.

There is a hole in the bottom arm, slide a big bar(1M is enough) or rod/tube into that and get one to stand on it while you remove the shock. I usually find standing on it first with all your weight and then bouncing a little.

Getting them back in is super easy. If you need any help I certainly can.

You don't need spring compressors using the long bolt removal method, and you only need to remove the long bolt for getting the front shocks out; rears pop out nice and easy without!

Does that not require spring compressors? I know I certainly find them a pain in the ass to use!
