Nah the adjustable arms will be listed on your cert plate and by removing them you will have made your car illegal againSnapfrozen wrote:You only need to do this to get it certed.. Maybe a car club adjustable set of arms? Each person puts in 40 bucks and we get 1 set to ship around the country, adjust, cert, put factory back in
What'd you do to your car this week/weekend?

Started on the sub/amp install in the boot. No fucking way the box would fit so i started on making a small one to fit in the corner opposite the battery. The cardboard box model went well but still fine tuning the wood version, but its basically a trapezoid.
An 8" sub will fit with room to spare but I have a 10" so that will be squished in there. Will post the finished result once it eventuates

There's no such thing as 1.88degrees. Based on the table posted your maximum allowed would be 2.08degrees.siren676 wrote:nah we are allowed 0.5º outside of factory tolerances so 1.88ºchris wrote:Ah!!! That makes sense![]()
So basically for the rear we are allowed 1.38 degrees.
Welll, That sucks balls.
Im 0.12º outside of that and dont have a print out so looks like im going to have to get it raised and re-aligned to meet the specs.
1.08 deg maxium + 0.30deg manufacturer tolerance + 0.30deg cert tolerance = 2.08deg if my maths isnt up to fux.
There's 60 'minutes' in 1 degree.

What? 360 degrees in a circle, you can get .9 of a degree...Bwarp wrote:There's no such thing as 1.88degrees. Based on the table posted your maximum allowed would be 2.08degrees.siren676 wrote:nah we are allowed 0.5º outside of factory tolerances so 1.88ºchris wrote:Ah!!! That makes sense![]()

Google it bro. There's 60 'minutes' in a degree.
Degrees measure an arc. A circle has 360 degrees which is purely a measurement done on the circle, in degrees. A circle having 360 degrees doesnt dictate how many minutes are in one single degree.

Nothing to do with time, hence cars running .88 degrees or 1.9 degrees.Bwarp wrote:Google it bro. There's 60 'minutes' in a degree.

Taken directly out of the lvvta cert info sheet

Agreed negative camber maximum limits:
The resulting negative camber maximum limit that has been adopted is as follows:
A front or rear suspension system in a low volume vehicle must incorporate no more than half a degree (0 degrees 30mins/0°30’) more negative camber than that specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Thank you siren. Half a degree is 30 minutes!! Meaning you cant have 88 minutes because 88 minutes is 1 degree and 28 minutes.
Angles are measured in degrees, minutes and seconds.
It's all through the guide on lvvta about how to measure camber for cert.

Notice its in brackets because it would be secondary measurement.siren676 wrote:Taken directly out of the lvvta cert info sheet

Try calculating a triangle and work out your camber with arcminutes, complicates the hell out of it hence why you dont see it on spec sheets.
Furai, just read the lvvta info sheet oncamber. It shows that they do measurements in degrees and minutes the whole way through.
If you are talking about 0.88 of 1 degree you are talking about converting a decimal to a minute, which is not how lvvta rolls.
Or anyone rolls for that matter.

Ill run with what Ive always used, (In RC racing, Gokarts etc) which is measuring in 10s to make it easy and logical.
Just one of the examples.

Seems to make it more confusing. It's like trying to divide time into decimals.
"I'll be there in 0.30 of an hour"
"Oh cool, see you in 30minutes"
"No no, 0.30 of an hour, so 18 minutes"
"Wut?"
"Oh don't worry, I'll see you in 18 minutes"
