I have friends in the Police and Traffic Department.
Although not "official" there is the competitive attitude among the Traffic Officers that "I have issued more tickets than you this month..."

I guess I used to work indirectly for EQC who are kind of like insurance in a way... By indirectly I mean they paid Fletchers who paid my company who paid me. I guess I've worked for insurance also now?

QFT. Though it is rather tricky to issue tickets if you dont do anything wrong. There is no such thing as a car 'accident'. There is always someone to blame, usually one or more drivers, though I can count on one hand the number of drivers involved in a crash who freely admit they were at fault, even if no other cars were involved. Theres always some excuse! Both drivers in a two car crash will blame the other usually! My personal favourite was "He braked too hard".
Its also why speeding is 'picked on' so much. Its so easy to prove!

Bought it, drove it home, parked it next to my VR6, going to drive it to work shortly

So good being back in an MX5.

Ahh new clutch!
The whole car feels a little tighter, a shame it's only a HD but the wife wouldn't like anything stronger!
Why didn't I do this ages ago? - oh yeah, no money.

at home with the 5 year old sick. so i gave the car a power buff. and started to replace the high beam indicator with a high intensity LED to act as a shift light and over boost light, so then i can ditch my boost gauge and get my vent back again.

I paid $140 for a full set bushings included. I couldnt be bothered waiting though and bought aftermarket bushings and washers, so when the washers come from Japan Ill sell them.

Today, I did this. Because I can.
Front lip is on, took a while when I was trying without the jack. My reasons. Low profile jack doesn't fit under car anymore

Some handy dandy 2x4 wood fixed that and made some quick DIY ramps. More pics to come later.
Props to Alex from
http://mlracing.co.nz for the lip

I'll ask on here too... How does your jack not fit under? My car is a lot lower and still fits..

Yessir, was 90/100 when the suspension went in, obviously settled... lol. Will be getting my wheels and certing next. Then I'll worry about the turbo cert later.
