Genuine, I didnt know they made fake roders?
Have seen a couple around the internet that don't have any markings at all on them, look identical though.

Yesterday I got the rear muffler replaced. It sounds a heap better without being overly loud. Will get a sound vid on Monday when its on the dyno.

What'd it cost? Mine's driving me crazy, resonates at just over 3000 and sounds like a fly farting into a microphone.
Nice echoing off the walls of a gorge when it's being caned though...

Mine resonates around 3000 too.. maybe its due to the length of the pipe and where it bends etc. Something something soundwaves something physics.

My ex used to call it gay until I threw money at the car and now she hates how impractical/uncomfortable/things keep breaking/noisy the car is... Now it's no longer a fun car
Although I have hopes that the Ohlins will make it more practical/comfortable somehow

I just tell her that being a gay car means I get twice as much sex.
And my hair's never looked so good.

Got them from a guy locally who bought them from Japan years ago.
Fronts are 15-7J +20 and rears are 15-8J +20.
Most are +35 but for $500 I dont really care!

Cost $200 for muffler and install from pitstop. Talked the guy down from $250 but he said they would be losing money doing it for $200. Guess he really wanted my business

Or my number

So i won a free dyno run at E&H motors on facebook, taking the mx5 in tomorrow for a laugh to see how much power its lost from factory.
Taking bets on the whp figure it makes. Winner gets free karma.
Only power related mods are 14º timing, decat and replaced rear muffler.

Thanks to Redben and Peanut Piston Ryan for helping me get stuff into the car. The chassis mods of my car are now complete

Oh and we got that oversized piece of metal called a radiator in with some difficulties (by we, I mean they), put a working fan onto the radiator and voila, no more overheating problems
The upgraded swaybars make the car sit suuuper flat (it's awesome)!! The frog arms make the steering way more responsive and I find myself turning into corners too sharply now (will have to adapt) and they actually made a surprising difference to how the car responds.
And the Ohlins went into the car finally

Holy crap they are worth it. The car feels soft and yet is unbelievably planted in the corners. On Scenic Drive heading to Piha, just past the Huia turnoff there's a 25kph corner. Normally I'll get slight understeer going around that corner and the tyres would be chirping quite a bit. Today, same speeds and NOTHING. The car is soo compliant.
I think the only reason I liked the new GT86 was that it had more power and better suspension than my car... Now it just has more power which will be fixed soon enough

Often quite amazing what
really good suspension can do to an already good car!

These guys almost collected me. They overtook me on Beaumont Street before crashing 100m down the road and were doing 140-ish at the time I was passed. Glad they missed me because I wouldn't have walked away from it
