$29,000 USD for the sports package... that's about $38k NZD.
I'm going to guess Mazda NZ will want $60k ...
john andrew wants 55k for a 2015 so your probably right on the mark.

doesnt matter what the price is... if they dont do something about the god awful shyte useless colour options (one red 3 whites 3 greys and a mum jeans blah blue) and lack of power
(its now being compared to a honda jazz WTF!!!!!!)
they wont sell many.
mazda have dropped the ball BIG TIME on this release... even the options are all fucked up..the sport doesnt come with LSD etc.
i have to say it but i think the japanese management culture has finally become so far out of touch with consumers on this car. they have crippled it with bad bad bad decisions from day one. crappy jinbai ittai slogans just dont cut it anymore for the cars weaknesses that are caused by stuck in thier ways japanese bean counters.

Yep. Honda motorcycles are really bad when it comes to making good decisions when you compare them to Polaris... (Girlfriend deals with motorcycle companies but can't ride ironically)SLYDIT wrote:doesnt matter what the price is... if they dont do something about the god awful shyte useless colour options (one red 3 whites 3 greys and a mum jeans blah blue) and lack of power

the sky active isnt tuneable at all. theres just about zero tuning stuff out for the SA mazda 3.
its 2015 not 1989. its no longer acceptable to put out a "sportscar" with just 128Hp.
The lack of power/stupid options combos/ and totally awful colours they chosen are gonna hamper sales big time. when american pickups and minivans have better colour choices than a sportscar...you have to ask yourself WTF were they thinking at mazda HO. i mean THREE whites a silver a grey a black and a bloody awful dull blue.
The performance should be on par with the the NA or NB, but I doubt the SkyActiv engines will be as easy to squeeze more power from as the B6 and BP
Hopefully they offer the 2L model here like they are in America and the UK
It wont be difficult to import one. the 2ltr doesn't seem too bad. it has a ton of torque. i think its 6.5 0-100? so similar performance to a brz. still shit value for money like all new cars.
