I have an electric heat gun and 2 x Map Gas Torches. One is for welding and the other is a wide less severe flame designed for doing Heat Shrink. You are welcome to use any of these to apply warmth. I have plenty of gas canisters to fit them.

Bought a guard roller yesterday and it arrived this morning.

Did all four guards tonight, it was not to hard at all. Took a bit of time but I,m sure as I do more it will get quicker.

No paint damage at all.

The front did not rub as the lip is only about 5mm wide, the rear did rub a bit but the lip there is about 15mm wide. Now they are both flat.

Test drive tomorrow to see if it still rubs. Fingers crossed.

The Caves run is with the mx5 car club of NZ

25th May , NIKAU CAVE RUN. : A run to a great eatery in the

Waikato and you can go for a walk through the Glow Worm Caves. We did this run a couple of years ago and it was most enjoyable. Meeting at the faithful BP Drury at 10.30am. an hours run of around 70km. Lunch is available at $20.00 per person. And the glow worm cave walk is $35.00. You need to confirm attendance and whether you want to cave walk by the 18th May. Some of us have done this walk and recommend it.

The mx5 club are nice people but they are a slightly different scene.... they are great if you like seeing a whole lot of bone stock standard mx5's all together as they don't seem to be much into modding and customization. Personally not my cup of tea as I see the roadster as something that can look so much better with some individuality and consider stock mx5's as underpowered and kinda....well... gay

nice people tho'

-=edit=- BWA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ... seems I upset someone and they -karma'ed me ... lolololololololol

its quite simple really, if someone has an issue with something I say or post, then either comment in the thread so we can have a healthy discussion about it or feel free to PM me. If you -rep someone then obviously that person feels strongly enough about it to take a jab yet are too gutless to actually say something to the person they disagree with/dislike. As this is a forum for car ownership/perspective ownership, one would assume that the vast majority of the members would be old enough/mature enough to be upfront with their comments and actions and if you will not act like an adult, I will reply in kind with posting of meme pics to take the piss out of their futile efforts to have a go at someone (because we all know that karma really counts for nothing at all in the grand scheme of things)

so here everyone, have some pudding

The vast majority of them are nice, friendly people. They are mostly in the older age group (not judging, just stating facts) and although one or two of them didn't like what we do to our cars, pretty much all of them were great to have a chat with and socialize with.

meh, I just figure that the best way for everyone to get along is to be open and honest with each other and if you dislike or disagree with someone then you should speak up about it rather than using a pointless feature that only implies to the person that *someone* is upset about something. Talking about things resolves conflict and has the potential for people to see different perspectives on issues that they had not considered before.

just wondering, how old are you BRM? you are a young fella I assume?

Lol hilarious - butthurt!! I have to remember that!
I have to admit that I've only been to one club run since buying this car, but i was a member when I had my first one - the club was a lot "younger" then (about 6 years ago) people like Gazza (poison) etc were members.
I'm definitely keen to join the run on the 22nd!

I went on a couple of outings with these guys . They are nice people and conservative with their rides. We had a lumch and as we had booked at the later part of bookings ended up with a table that only sat my daughter and I. Only the secretary who had done the organising took any real time out to speak with us..... We still enjoyed our outing as we both had good company at OUR table. We tried to look up the review of the days outing but are unable to access that as we are not financial members.
The members of our forum seem to go out of their way to offer advice and friendship so we are sticking with you guys.
I may have been a bit harsh and hasty with my call but that was our experience and we remember it.
