Spanner day
Anyone out there interested in a spanner day?
I know a lot of people on this forum do there own work on there cars but I,m sure there are also a lot that would like a hand with some work.
Oil change, gearbox and diff oil change, spark plugs, timing maybe a suspension change?
I cant offer a venue but I,m more than happy to bring tools and advice to help out.
I,m guessing a Saturday would be best and somewhere central (Auckland)
Thoughts guys? Who needs work done? Who can help?

yes please
Hi Guys, I'd be ultra keen for someone to help me. It needs a few things like basic oil and filter change, gearbox oil change & doing the top seal and gaiter, and I have a set of Tein springs I'd like to try in the car as well. More than happy to buy some beers and lunch for you or whatever. I'm in Pukekohe but probably better to travel to a venue near you that is better suited (minus the boss
) Basically I have very few tools and no confidence to do it.
Also bugger all money to throw around at businesses who want me to sell my children to pay for anything.
Timewise, if it could be after the end of March it would be great as I have a lot on over the next few weekends.
Cheers.

Does not seem to be a lot of interest apart from ants.
Ants if no one else wants some help I,m sure we can sort something out for a few weeks time, between myself and snapfrozen. All the things you want done are fairly straight forward and I have spring compressors for the spring change.
It may day a couple of weekends to get the things you want done but as I said sounds to be fairly easy.
Contact me when you are ready and I can help you with what you need to buy.

I have a rocker cover gasket sitting in waiting. Alas I dont have a shed to work in. Im pretty good doing most things myself but always appreciate someone overseeing who has experience. I have tools but require a space to work in. Once you start a job on the driveway you are committed no matter what the weather throws at you. Its ok in summer but shocking in winter. My gasket can be done outdoors. I stay in Te Atatu. Would appreciate a Thirsty overseer on the task.

I'd be keen; got some tools I can bring. Just not that sure of my schedule at the moment (the next few weeks are pretty liquid in terms of when I have free time). Can bring some red RTV for that valve cover gasket.
Guess once the date is decided by the others I will see if I can or can't make it.

I've got FM's Cam and Crank seal tools if you need Snap.
Might get you guys to take a gander at my engine and it's strange jerky ways when you quickly go on and off throttle. (This is a continuation of my "lean issue" thread I had a while ago lol).

If you guys are looking for a challenge I have all manor of bits that need doing...
FM Happy meal with braided clutch line and new slave cylinder.
New brake rotors (front and rear) with new pads and braided lines.
New alloy radiator, fans, hoses etc.
New cambelt and associated bits.
BC Gold coil overs.
I'm not greedy and need / want the whole lot done, but some help with the difficult bits (for me) like the clutch and cambelt could be really nice
I'm in Te Aroha, but are more than happy to drive up. Sounds like it could be a lot of fun as well as I might just learn a thing or 2!
