My bad btw, subframe bracing was incorrect terminology on my part. I was referring to the big brace frame thingy shown in the bottom of the pics. It is however, the same length and width as a subframe brace, so I assume it is the brace that goes above the transmission as opposed to the subframe brace which goes below?
When I arrived and looked at the transmission he offered to throw in the radiator and 'some of the bracing from underneath' ..... now as I am still n00b in regards to these things, so my opinion was "hell yeah, I have a trailer, I'll take anything and sort it out later"

Got a quote from work for a new bushing to replace the one which failed after the last drift day and it was only $12.
But i figured that the rest of the bushings wont be far off giving up as well so bit the bullet and ordered a full prothane kit which will do all front bushes, rear bushes, diff mounts and swaybar mounts.

Today I added the 30 second cup holder. Having no money, a buggered clutch slave, and a missing locknut key means it isn't anywhere near drivable until (probably) sometime next week unless one of you guys doesn't mind giving me a loan so I decided to do this to it:

+10 diy points for James.
Edit: Should really have used a longer screw and a washer or two so the thing doesn't fall out as soon as I put a v bottle into it... But who said life was a rose garden?

sigh, I was a bit of a dipshit today
I went down to supercheap and grabbed some oil and a filter (its worth noting that they have 25% off this weekend) and proceeded to do the oil change. Every thing went fine up until I was filling up the oil and then suddenly realized that I had jumped the gun and not put the sump plug back in yet....... *doh*
So after walking down to supercheap and buying another 4ltr of oil, putting the plug in and refilling it with 3.6 litres (my haynes manual said it wanted 3.4 quarts) everything is running fine but my wallet is a little bit lighter than I first expected.
ah well, that will teach me for not having my mind on the job and I guess I needed the exercise anyhow. Lesson learned
