When the words "Summer" and "cruise" are in the same sentence, there should be no objections from any car enthusiast with a roadworthy vehicle!

Anyone else made a call on this day yet? Any objections to the proposed route? Anyone got another route that may be just as or more enjoyable? Has not been much new to read on forum this week so I thought I would try and stir up some new dialogue. The weather is getting the way we softtop drivers like it. I for one have been getting plenty of air time even at night. Looking forward to a cruise with similar minded folks. Was awesome to get together at The Show and Shine.

I'm down, route looks rather nice, I'll hang at the back due to my lack of skill and decent tires however haha.

We will all cruise together so we will all be fine. More visual impact if there is a convoy happening. Its not a race.

GRUVBB wrote:How about this for a cruise route...... Leave South Auckland and head out through Hunua Gorge through Ararimu and connect onto Highway 2 at Mangatawhiri.... Head along Hauraki Plains to Kopu.... Meet up with Hamilton and Te Aroha cruisers if they wish to tag along.... Head over Hikuai Hills.... Up to Whitianga.... Head north and over to Coromandel.... Back down on western side to Thames.... Back over Hauraki Plains to Waitakaruru.... Turn right and head up through Kaiaua following the Firth Of Thames coastline.... Through past Orere Point and Kawakawa Bay and back into South Auckland again at probably Hill Rd Manurewa or over Mill Rd and Redoubt Rd and come out at Manukau City Centre :?: Just an idea as Chris will be busy so someone needs to take control and put some ideas on the forum. Im open for criticism or constructive ideas. ill turn up wherever the destination is. Good to go somewhere where we don't have to travel back down the roads we already travelled on in the morning
Like so?

Okay - the date is the 1st of December!

This is soon.

Plan is to meet at BP Bombay (the service station on the side of the motorway, Autobahn) at 8 AM and depart at 845 AM

So 45 minutes for the stragglers to get there!

I did the Clevedon-Kaiaua cruise last weekend in the S2000 with a few others and it was amazing, but alas Chris knows I won't be making this one :P

YEAH!!!! Burn the fossil fuel, while its still available. Its a celebration of summer. Its only gas money and fun time.

If we meet at BP Bombay we will miss the Hunua Gorge leg so that will save some Kms for the faint hearted.

May come along, depending on the saturday before it.
Put me down as a definite maybe. If yes, there will be a miasma of jealousy emanating from the windows of my wagon.
