Kieran, get some SFI padding the parts around you. Might come across some track days where they won't let you run without padding.

Thanks guys! Theres another on the 22nd if anyone's keen?

Snap, both Pukekohe and Hampton dont require the padding.

That Subaru must have had the stock diff going by the one wheel peeling!

Ever hit a rollbar/cage accidentally? Who cares if they require it. Do you like your head?

If you have an accident big enough to have your arms flailing round, you've got bigger issues than roll cage padding especially in an open vehicle. We've had this argument with msnz.

Completely agree, but it can't hurt to make sure he is aware of possibly problems. It's his first car so just making sure he is all gravy. Got my seats in today. They're pretty dam comfy

Help

=\
I'm confused as to what else might cause this.

Image

This is the right rear
at 315mm

Image
And this is left rear
at 330mm

There's 15mm difference and I'm stuck as to what it could be,
the shocks are set exact same heights...

wtf?

A few things. Is the ground dead flat, even a slight change in contour will mess with it. Check tire pressures. I always measure from guard to rim lip which gives you a more repeatable measurement.

When you say the shocks are set at the same height. What shocks are they and how have they been setup? Just because they were set at the same height on the bench won't make them the same. You need to make small adjustments in the car.

If the car is setup properly and corner weighted, every corner will be different to jack the weight around.

Hope that helps.
