No Stock in the country - NA8 front brake rotors...

Post by no_8wire » Wed Apr 03, 2013 5:00 pm

Does anyone have a pair of new 255mm front brake rotors around?

I have tried all the normal sources and even wholesalers and they have no stock in the entire country and they can't say when they 'may' be getting some in...highly frustrating.

So....anyone know where I can get some? If I don't have any luck may just have to get they from the states or some thing silly like that.

Fuck. Was just about to do my NA8 brake upgrade. Seriously though, you've tried: Repco, BNT, Mazda, Supercheap for all brands?

Hmm I have two that have about 10,000 km on them although I need to find a set of the bigger nb ones first. Replaced the rotors when I went to the fm lbbk but have gone for the slightly bigger rotor option and will swap them over next week. Just need the larger rotors first

I tried bnt, had tried their importer, repco, super cheap, Mazda....all out if stock!

Apparently the fronts are mx5 specific whereas the rears are a common shared disk.

Thats odd when I bought mine recently from John Andrew Ford/Mazda they sold me the fronts for my NB $35 each and wanted $90 each for the rears
THERE SMALLER WTF!

Of course after finding out the price for the rears my jewish genes kicked in and I bought the fronts only and went elsewhere for the rears and got them a lot cheaper

Needed a pair for a customer
BNT, AUTOSTOP, PARTMASTER and many wholesalebonly suppliers out of stock. Apparently they are a real slow seller so they dont bother restocking them?
I got the last pair of TRW ones that repco had down in the 04 region somewhere.
Then there was the brake hoses. My usual supplier was out of stock of the fronts. All others couldnt tell me if their hoses were NA6 or NA8+ ones. No one had the rear hoses so i ended up bringing in the lot from the USA to save the sale
