+1

Looking at receipts for my engine, 2LOW2C is more than correct, he understates his case significantly, this engine would be an excellent idea for someone who was looking for a bit more power... I could argue very convincingly that a number of us on the forum are basically pissing into the wind w/their under hood hp increase expenditures vs. installing this. I don't need it, or I'd already have visited Steve.

2low2c wrote:I know the guy selling the engine and if you can build an engine to the same spec for less than $8000 i would be surprised ,at 5000 kms it is bearly run in.

Nice work, got to love that lawn mower - similarly, I have driven down the Western & up onto the Northern w/my office chair, upside down poking its pedestal up into the air above the top of the screen... people were taking video footage as the vader car flew past them going over the Bridge.... pedestal base spinning like a chopper rotor... w/a little imagination, you can fit craploads in, w/out doubt... I carry a lot of stuff strapped to the cage fwiw:)

I work part time as a handyman & I'm always strapping stuff to the "roof" of mine!
It does mean I only work on sunny days though.
Timber, guttering, ladders, a cpl of mattresses and on Wednesday this week I picked up a $2000 picture from town that was 2m x 1.2m and took it over the bridge to the shore -I did underestimate how heavy the box would be on that one, my mate (his pic) and I could barely stretch/lift it over the car to put it on...
Probably should have taken the trailer but god it's funny see the look on people's faces when they see it! :D
I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

5 mins up the road is a house WITH water AND someone who would prpbably help him wash it...

Dont listen to his excuses, the reality is he's being lazy!!
Since it rained a little bit (large catchment area between the house and the barn roof, so doesn't take much to put a lot of water in my tanks) and the fact that I was getting hassled for being lazy, washed the car. Also, other reason is because I am going to the Leadfoot feastival as a marshal again this year, so can't turn up a a too grubby of a car down there.

Photo taken from the side with the least amount of crappy paint job on it.

Man, I am such a prick.

I have now had several people approach me about parting my car out. So the last guy that asked me just got an earful. I am sorry if you are on the forum.

I have had it with people saying "hey can I buy your diff?" "can I buy your hard top" I decided to say "no mate, Sick of punters like you. It is a pain in the ass when my car is all together, and listed all together."

I have a better idea.

I will throw all of the parts into a circle. Then I will commence the games.

Battle. To. The. Death.

Think I will get this thread locked with just some fun banter?

Just out of interest, where would I be able to get some crush washers for my MX5? Doing the engine, gearbox and diff oil. Unsure on sizing too.. Do I NEED a crush washer?

In doing all of my usual oil changes I've just re-used whatever washer it had. Didn't have any issues.

My answer is probably completely wrong.... but I've gone years without a washer and all my oil leaks have come from other places

I just did my diff and gearbox, put the old washers back on and no leaks.
