Hi. I have bought a hard top for my 1998 NB, I use it as required for security purposes but as a woman I have to wait to have someone around to help me remove and put on the top as neccessary. I would like to remove and put on on my own if possible so I dont have to miss the 'top down' days! Is there any advice out there with regard to the various pulley / hoist types available? Which are better? I am looking at the one available at MX5 Mania in australia?? Thanks

Cant see why you shouldn't buy from them as they are Mx5 specialists.

I've heard the hoists are good for removal and installation but not good for long-term storage as they tend to drop out if you leave them there for months on end for one reason or another.

If you are going to get one, get it from the States, they are $90USD plus freight, and the package they come in is pretty small.
