Hey now Rotary engines are reliable and efficient. Thats how they won Lem Mans after all. But they are only reliable and efficient at full throttle, so just drive everywhere flat out.

Doesnt the VVT in a Mazda engine only adjust timing?
VTEC adjusts valve lift and timing as far as im aware.
Fairly different styz.

Its a seperate cam profile and exactly the same there are some slight variances between manufacturers
The Major difference between honda VTEC and every other car manufacturers VVTi is that Honda made the first production model with it

The Mazda VVT on the BP only adjusts the timing of the inlet cam. There is no change to lift or duration.

really i was under the understanding that it is a seperate cam lobe?
Just did a little research my mistake but still I would prefer that over VTEC

Love VTEC. Not many 1.6L cars can make 140wkw with barely any headwork

The D series SOHC engines are VERY hard to kill, musta been awfully unhealthy. Other thing that might killed it is that Honda engines spin the opposite way to most supercharges so did he factor that in?
