Adjust the clamps to make sure there tight. The roof needs to pull down onto the door glass to make a good seal.
Also ensure your latch noses on the clamps arent broken or missing.This will ensure the hood sits in the clamp mounts in the correct position and also wont rattle.
Pulling the top side hood rubbers together also helps as they tend to move apart.
Finally make sure the door glass is coming up high enough to make a good seal.
I find 5 minutes adjusting cures most leak problems.

Yeah they've separated on mine, not entirely sure on how to stretch them, but I figure if I sit down for long enough with that service manual it ought to tell me. The tape I've popped over mine was enough to seal the gap in the rubbers.

The window comes up as high as it can go (Albeit a little slowly at times, I could touch that up), so I'm pretty confident in my situation I just need to work out how to adjust the rubbers.

They fit in a channel in the hood frame.Pull them gently together.
Your slow window problem could be gummed up contacts in your window switch.Pull it apart and give it a dose of contact cleaner.

Make sure your window tops are parallel along the rubber when closed and making even pressure along it.

I have possibly found the problem that is causing my leak. I had a loose seal at the top of the drivers door that was scrunched, causing it to lean on the channel on the door frame. Where it should sit over and into the channel that collects water, it was pushing up against it and hence the water was not falling into the channel, it was falling on me instead.

Here is some pics to show you what I mean.

So we will glue the loose door seal into place over the weekend to stop it moving around and try and work out the squashed channel and see if we can get it sliding neatly into place.
