While investigating my coolant re-route options i was curious to know what part this little sensor is used for?
It looks like it senses water or temp but cant find it in my detailed manual.

pretty sure its for the temp gauge

It's the coolant sensor for the ECU

Yea SLYDIT got it, it's just for the gauge, the ecu one is the larger one with the square green plug.

Yep thats it, in this pic here
The blue arrow is the gauge sensor, the big green square sensor is the ecu one,
The little grey one on the thermostat housing on the front of the motor is just the fan switch.

Cheers guys...so its got two thermo-sensors-the front is for fan control while the rear is temp gauge so i need to make sure i hook it up again!
