Do you have Mechanical breakdown insurance?

Do you have Mechanical breakdown insurance?

I had bad memories with other maker with previous model so everytime when I buy new car(second car yes!), I always go for mechanical breakdown insurace.

But main concern is not all insurcance company covers all parts. therefore I would like to go for what you guys have/had before that covers most unforseen damage.

Can anyone share story with mechanical breakdown insurrance with your sweet-ride MX 5?

Your help would be much appreciated. Cheers

Trouble is with breakdown insurance the policy often doesn't cover for wear & tear so when you think you are covered you actually are not!

Cars these days are generally very reliable so insurance is a bit unnecssary particularly for Mx5's.Like most things, if you look after them they will be nice to you in return! :D

Plus I find that replacement parts are reasonably priced and modified parts plentiful ;)

If it breaks, it means it's time for an upgrade

my mx5 is the most reliable car i have ever owned...

the only "broken" things i have had to fix were the rear brake calipers, ignition leads, and a new ignition key...

i could use a new soft top..but thats a consumable item.
Every other cost i have paid out was for "upgrades" to make the car more fun...
