Towing small caravan?

Post by benn » Fri Jun 24, 2011 5:20 pm

I'm keen to get another mx5, probably a manual 1600 NA. Would I have any hope of towing a small caravan (750kg fully laden) - or is that pushing it? I don't mind if it's slow and steady, I won't be on the road in peak holiday season, just want to know if it's possible - or do I have to look for something bigger as a tow vehicle?

Hi Benn. Not for me but a few years ago a member of the MX5 club did a South Island trip towing a campermatic with no problems. Have fun :D
