NB soft top replacement

Post by WideOpenThrottle » Thu May 20, 2010 3:27 pm

Just taken a day & 2/3rds to replace the softop on our NB.
Boy what a mission!
All the usual obstacles like unclear instructions-supplied rivets too small-washers too big-different diagrams, then not being able to close the damm sucker!
In the end i had to tie each side of the hood frame to two fence posts & with the windows nearly closed & the heater on full i slowly reversed inch by inch until the latches were able to be clamped.
then it was just a case of tightening all the nuts & screws.
Gnarly but on a high now! :D
Think i will leave it shut for the Taupo club day

When I have done for my NA. It was really tight at fist for closing the roof.
It was true, even when I adjusted the latch all way to the loose potion.

The roof had been stretched after about week and readjusting the latch again then it's all good.
