1990 NA on Trademe
Don't know whether it's good value or not but the 1990 NA with 12.5000 K's on the clock for $11.500 really caught my attention. As the owner of a similar model, with a hell of a lot more K's, this really appeals as it must be the nearest thing to a new NA you're going to find, anywhere.
However, sanity prevails, but what a neat piece of gear to own....?
And no, I have no connection withe the current owners at all.

Looks really nice. Too clean to drive it and get it dirty!

I'll be arriving in Wellington in 3 weeks (from California) and I'll be looking for an NA!!! That car is PERFECT!
Too perfect, sadly. That's over my budget too. I'm thinking of spending up to $6000, but it would be better if I spent $4500 or less. I'll only be using the car a year and I don't want anything too clean as I'll hopefully be doing some exploring and camping. That car is so pristine I'd fear getting the least bit of mud on it.

I get my cars pretty darn dirty on just about any road. When it's rainy there's mud, when it's dry it's dusty! Then there's birds, bugs and vegetation. My Mazdaspeed is black and even in a garage it's a battle to keep it shiny.Bazza wrote:Well, I don't know what your knowledge of the local market is, but $4.500 should see with a pretty nice NA. Don't worry about getting it dirty, we do have sealed roads here....
My knowledge of the local market is looking at trademe the past few months, but I think that's only a loose guide since I don't see actual selling prices. And also what you folks on here have been kind enough to advise me (see the thread I started on NA prices). I hope I can find a very well maintained and hopefully reasonably new looking NA in my range. But that car is one of the nicest NAs I've seen in about 10 years. That one should go to a collector. I want to find a nice shiny "user" or perhaps even an "excellent +", not "mint" or "like new" as that one would be, to use camera gear ratings.
I'll take my old Civic on the dirt and gravel, one of the reasons I have that car is for camping. But my Miatas don't get off the asphalt much if at all.
