Sooo some nasty kids threw river rocks (small fist sized) at my car while I was at a friends near Dominion Rd on Xmas eve... I think they were targeting my car only and they seemed to have lobed them over a distance... Rocks came from a neighbour's garden and 2 hit my car one on the pass. fender and one on the top of the windscreen frame causing a cracked windscreen and a small dent...
Nasty... Might looking into getting the windscreen frame dent repaired and fenders buffed out... All I have to say is the kids these days have bad aim... I counted they threw a total of 11 rocks... 1 hit, 1 barely... I only wished they would have hit the windscreen in the middle, I have stone chip insurance

and I wanted a new one with the tinted sun band on the top... Ahhh well...
Alarm works very well though!

You better get out of Auckland a.s.a.p.
That type of behaviour wouldn't be tolerated down here....
Good luck with the repairs - sometimes I despair of our youth.

Come on Bazza we've all seen "Deliverance"... heaven knows what happens to folk who cross those mountains to Tauranga
It's just another great inditement of our green eyed Kiwi culture isn't it. You have something I don't, so I will damage it or you. From slashed roofs to unsolicited insults, all the joys of being an envied MX5 owner. No different to going into the city on a Saturday night and getting grief from some rugby thugs (and it’s never just one, always a few for their safety) just because of being with a couple of hot ladies. Sometimes NZ really sucks. And not just Auckland, it was far worse in Hamilton before moving here.
